Nowadays, thoughts that are clinching in our minds are when this pandemic is getting over and which new electric vehicle is coming? The year 2021 is going to give us a lot of electric vehicles and with the remaining days of 2020 automakers are expanding their list of EVs.

Volvo is also expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of a second battery-electric vehicle. The first all-electric model of the automaker, the Volvo XC40 Recharge is about to come. The new electric model will be making its debut on March 2, 2021. No details have been shared by Volvo only that it will be sharing the same platform that is the CMA platform and will have a more streamlined body. The Volvo CEO Hakan Samuelsson said that it will a very good-looking car.

The rumors were that the new car will be an entry-level electric car of the brand but the CEO killed that rumor and said that “For Volvo to be profitable we need to focus on higher price, more premium car”. Well, that was somehow expected as it is a luxury car brand.

One more thing the CE0 confirms is that the new vehicle will not be a successor to discontinue the Volvo V40 compact hatchback. We are expecting that this new vehicle will look like a crossover-coupe or sleek wagon can’t say which one, let’s wait till march for its debut.
