Nissan safety shield 360 will come standard on 10 models

The Japanese automaker Nissan is dedicated to making its vehicle safe as possible and offers a wide number of safety features in its vehicles. As the National Teen Driver Safety Week (October 18-24) is going on Nissan announced that it will be making its Safety Shield 360 package standard on 10 models of 2021.

Nissan safety shield 360 suite includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, high beam assist, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic braking. This suite is similar to Toyota’s safety sense and Honda sensing suite packages.

The safety shield is already standard on Leaf, Kicks, Sentra, Rogue Sport, Maxima, Titan, and 2021 Nissan Rogue, the remaining three models are secret.  Nissan said that it will announce the remaining models in the coming months.

The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) research shows that cars equipped with advanced safety systems experience 56 percent less in accidents and injuries. It also states that the vehicles having rear automatic braking shows lower the chances of accidents by 78 percent and 22 percent with rear cross-traffic alert.

With these additional safety shield 360 as a standard feature, Nissan vehicles will get help in comparison with other vehicles in the segment.
