2022 Mitsubishi is coming to the U.S. next year with updated looks.

Mitsubishi has revised its Eclipse Cross small SUV for 2022 that will arrive in the U.S. in early 2021. The small SUV has skipped the 2021 model year and now it comes with a revised design and tech new in the cabin. There is also a plug-in hybrid version of Eclipse Cross but it’s not coming to the states.

For the 2022 model, Mitsubishi has toned the looks of Eclipse Cross and few changes in the interior of each trim and infotainment functions. The change is visible in the exterior design at the rear where the shape is changed is to a more conventional shape. Taillights are no longer in the middle; they are at rear pillars. The front end also receives some changes i.e. grille shape, bumper, and headlights, and look modern.

The Australian spec car is in the picture and we expect that the U.S car will look similar to it except for steering wheel placement, of course.

In the interior, the new Eclipse Cross gets new upholstery and trims including the grey leather. It has an 8.0-inch infotainment system that is new to Eclipse cross and makes the driver as well as passenger access easier. No changes in the engine are done it will be powered with the same turbocharged 1.5 L inline-four with 152 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. For transmission, there is no choice only CVT automatic is there with front-wheel-drive standard and all-wheel-drive optional.

The pricing of the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is a little higher than the current 2020 model start at $24,190 for the front-wheel-drive ES model.
