We already have seen the sleeker design of the Hyundai luxury division Genesis’s 2022 Genesis G70 now they have shared some details. As reported earlier that it may have a 2.5 L engine, we have to wait for this as Genesis is carrying over last year’s configuration.
The facelifted sedan will have 2.0T that produces horsepower between 253 to 255 depending on the model. It will be paired with 8-speed automatic transmission and either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The 6-speed manual transmission will not be an option for 2022 models.
Like the previous model, the twin-turbo 3.3 V6 that can produce 365 horsepower is also here. A new sport mode standard on all trims is added which provides aggressive powertrain, stiffer steering, and damping. The V6 engine car will also have a Variable exhaust valve system if it has opted with sports package and drift mode if all-wheel-drive has opted.
The 2022 Genesis G70 luxury sedan will get a 10.25-inch infotainment system and acoustic glass is used for the windshield and front windows to make the cabin quieter. The color pallet is also modified colors including brown, blue and few matte options are added. These changes are for its Korean market where Genesis G70 is going on sale in a few months we don’t know these changes will come in states or not. The specification for the U.S. will be shared in the coming months as it will go on sale sometime in 2021 as 2022 Genesis G70.
